Jisi Teapot
Introduction
He Daohong, a contemporary master of Zisha pottery and of plain-form wares, was born in Yixing in 1943. He attained the senior professional title in 2005, was named a Master of Chinese Ceramic Art (first awarded in 2003), and is a Jiangsu Provincial Arts and Crafts Master.
He studied under Wang Yinchun, inheriting the master's skills and building a solid foundation in square, round and ribbed vessels. He later received guidance from Pei Shimin, known as "the second Chen Mingyuan," refining his techniques in floral wares and naturalistic fruit-and-vegetable forms.
